Incorporated in 1988, C&L Instruments, Inc. designs, manufactures, and sells high quality instruments and accessories for fluorescence applications.

Products
C&L's products include a complete multiwavelength spectrofluorometer -- the C&L Dye Fluorometer -- as well as illumination sources, a photon-counting detector module and a fluorescence imaging system. The C&L Dye Fluorometer's patented innovative filter wheel design and reasonable cost distinguish it from the competition. Our optical and software designs enable the Dye Fluorometer to have unique and powerful features that you will not find in any other instrument! The components of our fluorometer systems also work seamlessly with our fluorescence imaging system. All C&L products are carefully crafted, using only the highest quality components, to meet the exacting standards of our company and our customers. You will be hard-pressed to find other instruments that will out-perform our fluorometers.

More recently, we have developed a new type of perfusion and incubation chamber for cell microscopy called the Vacu-CellTM. These unique chambers hold the optical surface by one side only using the force of a vacuum. These chambers have numerous advantages over cell chambers made by other companies.
If you do not find the component or accessory to meet your fluorescence needs in these web pages, please contact C&L.

Expertise
The excellence of C&L's products is grounded in our staff's expertise and long experience in the fields of fluorescence methodology, scientific instrument design, and software engineering.
The innovative use of computer controlled and synchronized filter wheels is a patented technology of C&L Instruments. This technology was developed and used in the design of our unique fluorometer systems through funding by the SBIR program of the National Institutes of Health (Phase I and II). Our instruments have been developed by scientists for use by scientists.
